All lanes on Highway 69 and Interstate 20 near Lindale are back open.  This after a major accident involving an 18-wheeler at one of East Texas' busiest intersection.  Around 2:30 p.m. authorities say the truck drove off I-20 in between the eastbound and westbound lanes, plunging nose first onto Highway 69.  The cause of the crash is still unknown, but authorities say the driver of the tractor trailer somehow lost control, hit the mediam near Highway 69 and went airborne.  At that time, the truck burst into flames and then fell off the overpass.

Authorities say a man stopped at the red light saw the accident and rescued the driver of the truck and a female passenger by breaking open the truck's window and pulling them out.  Both have been taken to Mother Frances.  Their conditions are unknown tonight, but we've been told they were talking.  Again, all lanes are back open, but traffic is backed up on I-20.  If you can, authorities ask you to avoid this area.
