Gift of Love:Foster Parent Walk

"Walk Me Home" is an event in Tyler raising awareness of the need for foster parents.  Everyone is invited to attend.

The event is Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Rose Rudman Recreational Trail located at 320 East Reick Road in Tyler. Registration and check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with the walk beginning at 9:30 a.m.

"Walk Me Home" is a 5-K event with a three-fold purpose:  to generate awareness of the need for foster care, recruit and retain foster families and raise funds to support training and scholarship programs for area foster parent associations. 

Registration is $30.00 and donations are accepted. More info can be found at www.walkmehome.org.   Participants can register in advance through the web site or by contacting Maud Wright at 903-581-8148 or Kellie Pittman at 903-372-2400.  Registration can also be completed at the event beginning at 8:30 a.m.
