Tyler Police Investigate Series of Car Slashings

Several Tyler residents woke up Saturday morning to find their car tires had been slashed.

Tyler police are investigating eleven tire slashings in all, and say there could possibly be more. They think the slashings happened late Friday night or early Saturday. Three vans were found with flattened tires outside Dehaven Eye Associates on the1400 block of Front Street.

A woman found the three vans early Saturday afternoon. Police do not have a suspect in the case. Here's a list of where other slashings occurred: the 900 and 1100 blocks of Blackwell Ave.; 1200 and 1300 blocks of Ridgeview; 1500 block of East Idel; 1800 East Don; 1900 and 2000 block of Overhill.
