Celebration Honors Parishioners In Their 90s

They've been called the greatest generation. They lived through the great depression and fought in World War two.

Tuesday, all the members who are in their 90s were honored at First Christian Church in Tyler.

They told KLTV about their younger years, and what has changed in their lifetime.

"We didn't have air conditioned cars it's so funny to see those pictures now of the car we had when we were married, and compare it to the ones now," said Kemp & Marie Barley.

"I never expected to live until 95. The doctor said to me, what do you attribute to health at an age like this? and I think it's in my genes," said Alta Harper.

The luncheon is an annual event.
