A Rusk County Justice of the Peace has ruled that those arrested in a recent 8-liner raid will *not be held on bond. Last month, 36 people were taken into custody over a three day operation by Rusk County Sheriffs and Kilgore police at locations where illegal 8-liner gambling was going on. In a hearing Thursday, insufficient evidence was found to justify bonds on those arrested. This means all of the defendants are now released from custody. Some had already bonded out, while others had charges reduced or dismissed. The cases will soon be brought before a grand jury and, if indicted, the defendants will be re-arrested and booked back into Rusk County jail.
