Future Doctors and Nurses Go to "Camp"

Dozens of high school students are getting a dose of real life in the ER.

For four days, these kids are not only getting a tour of a hospital, but they're actually able to shadow doctors or nurses in their area of interest.

The kids had to submit applications, letters of recommendation and even essays... demonstrating they have the commitment and interest to step into the world of health care for a whole week.

Some in Longview had their Health Career Camp last week. In Tyler, the camp ends tomorrow.
