Insurance Agent Arrest

A Tyler insurance agent accused of writing millions of dollars in bogus policies is now behind bars. 40 year old John Tesseyman was arrested last night on four felony charges, including insurance fraud.

The Texas Department of Insurance says began an investigation over the past year. Tesseyman is accused of writing false liability policies to firework and petroleum companies across the country. Unknowingly, many of these companies have been paying premiums but have no coverage. Tesseyman in currently in the Smith County jail on a $400 thousand dollars bond.

If he doesn't bond out, he'll be transported to Travis County later this week.

    A man wanted for a robbery in Hunt County is now in the Hopkins County Jail. Bobby Ray Edwards Jr., 24, of Sulphur Springs, was booked on May 20 into the Hopkins County Jail. His bond is set at $70,000. Edwards, also known as Bobby Johnson, is charged with failure to identify himself as a fugitive.
