Lufkin School Board Approves First Series Of Bonds

The Lufkin school board has voted unanimously to approve issuing the first series of school building bonds.

The 2008 series of bonds has a $14.5 million dollar price tag.

That money will mostly be used on construction at Lufkin High School. Plans are also in place to build a new auditorium and additional class rooms at Lufkin High.

LISD will be dividing the bonds from last year's election and issuing them seperately over the next two years.
