Breast Cancer Drug Could Prevent Tumor Reoccurence

New and hopeful information in the battle against breast cancer. For women battling metastatic breast cancer -- which is when it goes into the lymph nodes -- there is a type of chemotherapy treatment that can reduce your risk of getting another tumor by 50 percent. The drug is called taxotere and UT Health Center was one of several hospitals in the country which researched the benefits of this drug. According to Doctor Rafeal Gallardo, women who take taxotere through an IV can block cancer cell division and the growth of new cancer cells all together. Dr. Gallardo says this finding could be revolutionary.
