Mugging On Old Bullard Early Sunday Morning

Sunday morning at around 4 am, Trent Alan Spradlin was walking in the 5300 block of Old Bullard Rd.  Spradlin reported he was approached by three black males.  Spradlin reported one of the black males shoved him while another black male put a knife up to his right side.

One of the suspects removed Spradlin's wallet from his pants pocket.  As the suspects were accosting him, a vehicle drove by and the suspects fled from the scene.

The suspects are described as:

  • Black male about 5'9" to 6'0" with a muscular build. This suspect was wearing a white longsleeve jersey, possibly a Dallas Cowboys jersey with blue jeans.
  • Black male about 5'7" tall with a medium build. This suspect was wearing a dark colored flannel jacket and appeared to be around 20 years of age. Also wearing blue jeans.
  • Black male about 6'2" to 6'4" tall weighing around 200 pounds. This suspect was wearing a dark colored jersey, possibly a Denver Broncos jersey with blue jeans. This suspect may have a goatee.

Spradlin was not injured during the altercation.  Several officers checked the area that night and couldn't locate the suspects.

The case is being referred to the Major Crimes Unit with the Tyler Police Department.

TPD is reminding the public to exercise caution, especially when walking at night.
