Man Posing as Mortician Arrested on Drug Charges

An East Texas man posing as a funeral home director is in jail on drug charges. 29 year old Rodney Blaylock of Gladewater was arrested by Gregg County deputies Wednesday, in what investigators say was a planned drug deal at a convenience store. Blaylock, allegedly was caught with 55 grams of crack cocaine and charged with a first degree felony of delivery of a controlled substance. Blaylock bought more trouble when he allegedly told officers he was the director of McCauley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Investigators say there is no record of him even being an employee of the business. Blaylock is being held on 100-thousand dollars bond, and faces misdemeanor charges of impersonating a funeral home director.
