A final farewell Thursday for a well known educator in Longview. Teachers and administrators threw a party to say goodbye to the outgoing superintendent of L.I.S.D., Arthur Culver. Culver, headed up the district since 1999. He resigned his post in April to take a position in Illinois. Thursday, dozens of friends and well wishers turned out to say their farewells to the often embattled administrator. Culver will begin his new job in Champagne, Illinois in June.
