Wolves Dedicate Season, Proceeds To Jackson Huse Foundation

Last year, six year-old Jackson Huse of Arp scored his first touchdown with the semi-pro East Texas Wolves. Jackson passed away this week, after a long battle with brain cancer.

Tonight, the Wolves remembered their littlest running back with a moment of silence before the game. The team has dedicated the season to Jackson.

The Wolves said they wanted to help Jackson's family, after their son meant so much to them, too.

"I remember (last year)," Wolves owner and player Brian Lacy recalled, "he looked up at us like he was looking at real professional athletes. Last year, we gave the entire season to Jackson. This year, what we're going to do is take a certain percentage of every gate and donate it to his foundation, to help other kids with his same illness."

The Jackson Huse Foundation has been created to help other families with children fighting cancer. Donations can be made to Arp State Bank.
