Lindale Soccer Teams Make History, Still Want More

So far this season, the Lindale soccer squads have already made history.

Turns out, they're just getting started.

This year for the first time, both the boys and girls teams won district championships. After first round byes, they swept the next round, setting up their regional quarterfinal double-header tomorrow against Brenham.

We root for the girls, and they watch us after their game," Lindale forward Colten Fulcher said. "The fans are great, too, it's always great to have that support."

"It's really awesome that we both made district champs," Lady Eagle forward Charity Shipman said. "Nobody thought we would, I guess we proved them all wrong."

"I think we've achieved something huge, to get first in district," Lady Eagles midfielder Maddie Fraser said. "We've worked really hard, that was our goal for this year, and we've achieved it."

Both teams play Friday night in Waco.
