Two Shot, One In Serious Condition After Last Night's Texas College Shooting

TYLER (KLTV) - Two people were shot early Thursday morning at the Texas College Annex located off East Loop 323 in Tyler, and police are still looking for answers.

The incident happened around 12:30 am in the parking lot of the Rose Dorm in the 2900 block of Kilgore Highway. The Rose Dorm is an off-campus dorm of Texas College.

20 year old Bobby Hughes was shot once in the left hand. He has been released from the hospital. 19 year old Roy Morgan was shot in the stomach, and is in serious condition today in the hospital.

Police say they are not sure what sparked the incident, but they are interviewing witnesses now.

No suspects have been identified or arrested at this time.

Texas College held a press conference today, in which they said that the college security had not been breached and that the shooter was still on the loose. Friends of the two men who were shot said they were friendly and very close to each other.

Police say a shell casing was recovered from the scene.
