Contract Negotiations Resume at Mansfield Plumbing But Lock-Out Continues

Contract negotiations have resumed at Mansfield Plumbing Products in Kilgore but the lock-out continues.

Tuesday employees continue to protest the lock-out.

The company shut down operations Friday night after contract negotiations failed.

Union workers say the contract that was offered had too many cuts in salaries and benefits.

Workers at the plant say the negotiations are moving slowly.  Unoin representative Fred Ankenbrant says, "we got our contract extended until June 12th and we're expected to go back to work under our present contract until they can go further into negotiations and at that time that we vote again on a proposal June 12th to accept it or not accept it."

Union workers say if they do not accept the new proposed contract they will strike.
