Police Investigate:Two Women Duct Taped And Robbed At Gunpoint

Henderson police say two women were tied up with duct tape and robbed at gun point. It happened around 8:30a.m. Monday morning at the Gold Star Finance store in the 1800 block of  U.S. Highway 79 South. Police say Jamaal Kennedy, 23 of Nacogdoches and another robber armed with hand guns walked into the store and robbed two female employees.

A few hours later, police say, Kennedy was caught in Nacogdoches using one of the victims credit card.

"They took the victims to the back and made them lay down on the floor and of course they were scared. The suspects spent a little bit of time going through drawers looking for money and through the women's purses," said Lieutenant Craig Sweeney of the Henderson Police Department.

Kennedy is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery. He is beig held in the Rusk county jail on a $100,000 bond.

Both women victims were unharmed, and police are looking for the other robber. They tell us he is from Nacogdoches also. The second suspect will also face three counts of aggravated robbery as well.
