EMS Teams and Disaster Units Bond over Hot Dogs

In times of disaster, emergency response teams have little time for conversation.

But, that wasn't the case Saturday afternoon. In Longview, disaster relief teams mingled with local police officers, firefighters and sheriff's deputies.

It was all in celebration of "Emergency Services Appreciation Day."

The Harleton Volunteer Fire Department handed out hot-dogs, while police officers took fingerprints for the kids.

Any one who stopped by got a tour of EMS and disaster relief vehicles.

The Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief team was there and gave tours of their food truck. Members of that team helped New York relief crews following September 11th.
