Tyler Library To Hold Spring Book Sale

The Tyler Public Library will host its Spring Book Sale in the Library's Taylor Auditorium, Saturday and Sunday, March 15 and 16.

"We are selling adult and children's' fiction and non-fiction books, as well as audio books, videotapes and encyclopedias," says Evelyn James, Library programming associate, who is overseeing the sale. "Most items are priced at $1.00 or less."

Items for sale include donations which do not meet the Library's current needs and "weeded" resources that have been withdrawn from Library circulation. Library staff and volunteers have been sorting and preparing sale items for the past year.

"All proceeds from our sales go directly toward the purchase of new or replacement items for the Library's collection," says James. "We expect to have several thousand items on hand, all of them new to this sale."

The sale will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 15 and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday, March 16. There is no preview of sale items or early sales.

Tyler Public Library is located at 201 S. College in downtown Tyler. For more information about the sale, call (903) 593-7323 or email programs@tylertexas.com .
