Kim Beckham, pastor of Tyler's Central Baptist Church, says his life has been about communication. Growing up in an era when parents tended not to express love verbally, Beckham was determined that his children would never wonder if their father loved them.
Beckham began writing letters and notes to his children, wife, and friends, on special occasions, on accomplishments, when they needed encouragement, and often for no obvious reason at all. His letters were so effective, Sunday school classes and clubs began asking him for help in communicating and this led to his book Letters To The Heart.
Kim Beckham will be signing copies of his book at Tyler's Barnes & Noble Book Store, Saturday, March 15th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Books are available at Barnes & Noble, at Central Baptist Church in Tyler and online at amazon.com.
