Laneville Wins, Advances to State Championship

Marcus Anderson scored 24 points, leading Laneville back to the Class 1A Division II state championship game with a 61-39 win over Rule.

Anderson's 15 points in the first half matched Rule's entire team as the Yellowjackets took a 31-15 lead into halftime. Bryon Blanton added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Laneville (31-5), which lost in the title game last season.

Laneville held Rule to 19 percent shooting (12 of 65) and blocked 12, eight by Gerraylon Carey.

Laneville will face Goodrich Saturay night at seven for the 1A Division II State Championship.
