Three children are dead after fire swept through their family's one-story frame home in a rural Northeast Texas community on Friday.
Killed were 17-year-old Laura Wilkinson, 11-year-old Tyler Joe Roberts and 5-year-old Rowdy Cunningham. Bowie County Sheriff James Prince said the three were siblings.
Prince said firefighters arrived at the house in the rural community of Bassett about 5:30 a.m. Friday to find the house fully engulfed in flames. He said the mother and two children were able to escape, but the other three died in the blaze.
Bassett is a community of about 370 residents about 30 miles west of Texarkana, Texas.
