TISD Students Excel At TJC Science Fair

Twenty-four Moore MST Magnet School students recently participated in the Tyler Junior College Science Fair held in Tyler. Those students competed and excelled in the areas of Physical Science and Biology.  These students will advance to the Regional Science Fair. 

The Regional Science Fair is Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Kilgore College in the Duvall Student Center located at 1100 Broadway, Kilgore. Judging will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. that day.

In Biology, Aaron Cromartie took 1st place honors.  In Physical Science, Naina Baines earned 2nd place as well as Macy McCombs.  Laura Brown and Sean Koch earned a 3rd place medal also in Physical Science.

In addition, the following Moore students will be joining the winners in Kilgore for the next level of science fair competition at the Regional Science Fair Meet: Maria Chroneos, Ryan Rendon, Brandon Majors, Zachary Lawson, Caroline Thompson, Antonio Valtierra, Claire Whitney, Emily Hawk, Seth Oldham, and Morgan Mills.
