Tyler (KLTV) - Christopher McCuin, the Tyler man accused of murdering and cannabalizing his girlfriend in January, has been indicted on two charges.
McCuin is being charged with both capital murder and burglary of a habitation. He was true billed by a Smith County grand jury yesterday.
McCuin is accused of murdering 21 year old Jana Shearer at his mother's house in Tyler after kidnapping her from her home in Whitehouse. During his crime spree, officials say he broke into and burglarized a store called Tyler Custom Openings, and broke into his estranged wife's home and stabbed her boyfriend.
After the murder, officials found him at his mother's house with the victim's body beaten, mutilated and dismembered in the cab of McCuin's truck.
No trial date has yet been set.
