Former Mississippi Governor Rallies For Obama In East Texas
Former Mississippi Governor Ray Mabus was in Longview today to voice his support for democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama.
This afternoon Governor Mabus spoke to more than two dozen of Gregg County Obama supporters. Today, KLTV asked Governor Mabus how he thinks Senator Obama fairs against Republican front runner John McCain.
"I think this election is about the past and the future. If you put John McCain and Obama on the same stage I don't think there's going to be much of a contest. Barack Obama is talking about the future, hope, and opportunity. Obama is talking about getting us out of a disastrous war, while John MaCain is talking about the past. He's talking about the fact that hope is a false hope and he's also talking about spending the next 100 years in Iraq," said Mabus.
Mabus also made Obama campaign stops in Tyler and Texarkana.
