Justice of Peace Suspended on Drug Charges

A Harrison county Justice of the Peace has been suspended from her duties while she awaits the outcome of federal drug indictments.

58 year old Sadie Clay has been Harrison county precinct two judge for 10 years, but was indicted in Tyler recently on charges that she took prescription drugs from people she had pronounced dead.

If convicted, clay could face 20 years in prison and a possible one-million dollar fine. Clay is suspended with pay, while awaiting her trial date of July 1st.
