Terrorist Alert Goes Out to East Texas Apartments

The Texas Apartment Association is sending out terrorism warnings to some East Texans living in apartments.

The letter alerts residents that terrorists could be "renting apartment units in various areas of the United States and rigging them with explosives."

The Timbers in Tyler placed a security alert on each renters' door.  Management did not want to frighten, rather make their residents aware of the FBI's intelligence on apartments as possible terrorist targets.

Many of the residents are taking the warning seriously.

"I feel like it was a great idea for them to put it on our door to alert us with the terrorism," says Tabitha Cox, an apartment resident.

"It will help everyone to get along together in the apartment community."

Apartment residents are asked to report anything unusual or suspicious to the police or the FBI.
