U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) will be hosting a veterans forum in Tyler next month to give Veterans an opportunity to learn more about services available to them and have their concerns addressed.
Congressman Gohmert urges all Veterans in East Texas to attend, stating, "Those who have served honorably deserve to be served honorably, and the purpose of this forum is to hear from all relevant officials about what their offices can do to help Veterans. Right now I'm not convinced they are receiving the service they deserve, and the bottom line is determining what we can do better. I hope east Texas Veterans and their families will attend so that local and regional Veterans Offices can inform the community of the services they have to offer and discuss how to improve those services. Participation and communication are essential so that we can provide the effective assistance to which Veterans are entitled."
The forum will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, March 7th, at the UT Tyler Ornelas Activity Center.
