William Parker II William Parker II

On January 30th, Arp Volunteer Firefighters responded to a blaze on Phillips Street in Arp. The house, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire, was thought then to have been set on fire deliberately. Arp Police officers were able to obtain a dashcam video showing two suspects leaving the scene of the fire, and were also investigating to see if the house had been burglarized.

Now, as a result of their investigation, two people have been arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation by the Arp Police Department. Polly Ann Price and William Parker II, 51, were arrested today. The Smith County Fire Marshall is also investigating the case to see if they should be charged with arson in the case.
