Silent Auction

The Auction will open at 8:00am and will remain open until the close of the tournament.  If you are interested in donating any item or items for the auction we would greatly appreciate it.  We need anything you can give.  This would be a perfect way to showcase your business.  Is there something that you specialize in let us show it off and tell everyone about it.  We are hoping to see anywhere from 150 to 200 golfers maybe even more.  Any item that is donated will need to have a value price attached to it so be sure and tell us what the item is worth and if you have a business card or logo send it along too.  Also we are putting together goody bags for the golfers so anything that you may have to advertise your business we can use as well but remember we will need at least 150 items for that.

Hole Sponsors

We are needing hole sponsors.  For $100 dollars you can sponsor a hole and all the golfers will see your advertisement while they play.  $100 dollar is our min for hole sponsors but any donation would be greatly appreciated.  If you have a sign or banner please let us use it for the tournament.  We are also needing sponsors for the hole contest that we are having:  Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and the Putting contest.  If you are interested please contact us.

Tournament Events

The tournament will also include Door Prizes and Prize Money, The Golden Throne Drive at $5. a entry at the tee where golfer that participate will play best ball and lay 0.  Also, the 5 Iron Tee Shot also at a $5. entry at the tee where the golfer that participates will play best ball and lay 0.  We will also be offering drinks to the golfers at no charge and on donation basis only.  We will also be having a Hole In One Contest for a new 2008 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Truck donated by Hall Buick Pontiac GMC just to name a few.  There is much more happening please help us, show your support for Ben and contact us for more information.

We are looking forward to a great event and hope that you or your business will be able to help us out.  Thank you for your support and we hope to see you there.  If you would like to know more about Ben Wood and the reason why we are doing this tournament please go to www.caringbridge.org/visit/benwood.

On Monday the Associated Press released its top 25 preseason poll for college football. And for the third straight year, Texas A&M didn't make the cut. Starting fast though and moving their way up the polls in recent seasons hasn't been the problem. In fact, the Aggies, who have over a dozen East Texans on the roster, were number four in the initial playoff rankings last year.
