Some tense moments Friday morning as thunderstorms rolled across East Texas.
The national weather service had predicted heavy rain for East Texas, including Gregg County.
Just before 10 a.m., Longview began feeling the driving rain and swirling winds. Power was knocked out for short periods at area businesses and traffic signals. Sirens began to blare with the warning of severe weather and visibility began to fade. One furniture store had damage to its roof from the heavy winds. No one was injured in the storm and minimal damage was reported.
