3 Inspections, 3 Perfect Scores On Latest Restaurant Inspections

Spotlessly clean conditions, and all food held at proper temperatures were the order of the day in the latest round of restaurant inspections by East Texas health departments. 3 Longview area restaurants were given high marks. David Beards Catfish Village at 2005 Toler road was inspected January 14th. No violations and no demerits. They had a perfect score.

Brenda's Good Eats in the Pine Tree Center at 1809 West Loop 281 was inspected February first. No violations were found and all foods were at proper temperatures. A perfect score.

And the Stir Krazy Kafe at 123 East Tyler Street was inspected January 30th. Food prep areas were spotlessly clean, and there were no violations. A perfect score. No Smith county restaurants qualified for the good list this inspection period.

Often times, African American history is only recognized during the month of February.  Founders of the Texas African American Museum felt their history slowly slipping away, now they are hoping to change that with the opening of the museum. "Some of the things I've seen in this little museum, I've not seen in history books, I've not seen online," visitor Cramoeya Cooper said. Though it may be small, the Texas African American Museum packs an exurbanite amount of inf...More >>
