Lobos Retire NBA Veteran David Wesley's Jersey

Before he played for a world championship with the the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was vying for state title with the Longview Lobos.

David Wesley, who played 14 years in the NBA, returned to Longview Tuesday night as the Lobos retired his jersey.

Wesley is a 1988 graduate of Longview and went on to play at Baylor and with the Charlotted Hornets.

Wesley said coming home is always special, but this time it meant much, much more.

"When I come home, it's always great to see the people that I grew up with," Wesley said. "Some people I'm just meeting. I just have a great time being around the people of Longview."
