A fire consumes a business on West Erwin Street in Tyler. The fire broke out at Detail Express, an auto detail shop, shortly after 7 p.m. Monday night.
The fire left the shop's interior and three cars charred. Materials inside the building fed the fire making it harder for firefighters to control the blaze.
"The cars had fuel in the engines, and I think there may have been a small amount of gasoline stored in the building. All the plastics, all the foam rubber in the vehicles, all were contributors to the fire," said Max Nash, Tyler Fire Marshall.
