On February 3, 2008, Longview Police Officer Wesley Newman stopped a 1994 Ford Explorer in the 300 block of East Broadway after a computer check showed the vehicle had been stolen during an aggravated robbery in Kilgore.

The driver identified as 49 year old Tony Wayne Leach of Longview was arrested and charged with Theft Over $1,500 and Under $19,999, a State Jail Felony, for being in possession of the vehicle.  He told officers he had purchased the vehicle from a passenger he had in the vehicle when it was stopped.

The passenger, 32 year old Dorontha Roxquiz Hodge of Big Sandy told officers he had bought the vehicle from an unknown person in Kilgore last year and then sold it to Leach.

Hodge was arrested and charged with Failure to Identify (Class A Misdemeanor) and two outstanding warrants.  Both subjects were taken to the Gregg County Jail.
