East Texas sports bars are expected to be packed for Sunday night's game, as the New York Giants try to break that perfect Patriot record.
"I don't want the Patriots to win at all," said football fan Bryan Stanley.
"The Cowboys aren't in it, so I don't care who wins," said Flint resident Bob Davis.
"I think a lot of people will be here wanting to see the Patriots lose," said Tyler Buffalo Wild Wings General Manager Brandon Zarecor. "They're America's most hated team." Zarecor said they expect standing-room only on Sunday.
"Man you have to be here, it's going to be great," said Zarecor. "The Super Bowl on every TV, lots of wings, what else could you want?". Well, maybe some pizza in the comfort of your own home.
"Typically, it's one if our busiest days of the year," said Tyler Papa John's General Manager Dennis VanSickel." Papa Johns said getting your favorite Super Bowl slice is made easier through online ordering and now text messaging.
"They can place it right straight through their cell phone and place their favorite order with us," said VanSickel. "It then pops up on our computer screen and we make it and send it out to them. It's really, really convenient." No matter what your Super Bowl plans are, or even if you're still too bummed to watch...
"I'm a big Cowboys fan," said Stanley. "I wish they would've beat the Giants. I was at that game, so it made it even worse."
East Texans are still mustering up some of that Super Bowl spirit. "New York Giants are going to win the ball game," said Davis. "Everybody bet New York Giants, all the way."
"I think it's going to be a great game, I like both teams," said VanSickel. "Of course, you'd like to the Patriots go undefeated, but I think the Giants may have something to say about that."
