In a letter to President Bush, Governor Rick Perry requested a Presidential Disaster Declaration for the state of Texas, Saturday.  This after wildfires continue to burn in several counties.  The governor identified 184 counties that are currently threatened, or impacted by wildfires.  So far, 75 wildfires have burned approximately 70,000 acres and destroyed 60 homes and structures.

Right now, eight East Texas counties are under a burn ban.  They include Anderson, Henderson, Van Zandt, Kaufman, Delta, Hunt, Hopkins and Rains.
