Longview Police Warn of Serial Rapist

Longview Police warn a serial rapist is attacking women in their own apartments. The most recent assault happened on Saturday at the Misty Ridge Apartments. Police say the man is responsible for as many as five rapes in the last two years at apartment complexes.

Officials believe the man preys on white women in their early 20s to early 30's who live alone. Seargent Don Jeter says the suspect convinces women to open the door, and then forces his way in. "If they're persistent you might want to pick up the phone and call either your courtesy officer or the police to come out and check the people out and if they fit the description of this person that we're looking for, certainly call the police and get them en route out there. But don't confront this person

Police describe the suspect as 5 foot 4 to 5 foot 7, 200 pounds with a dark complexion. They also say he has a goatee and mustache.
