Lobos To Retire Wesley's Jersey

The Longview Lobos are always very proud of one of their own to make it big. Now they will honor a young man who helped but Lobo basketball on the map.

David Wesley graduated from Longview in 1988. He went on to become a 14-year veteran of the NBA. David played most of his career with the Hornets and in 2007 played with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Longview ISD will retire David's high school jersey number 11 next week.

David's jersey will be retired at halftime of the John Tyler versus Longview game Tuesday night. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Lobo Coliseum.

A free David Wesley T-shirt will be given to the first 200 fans.
