Wildcats Coach Passes Away

The Whitehouse Wildcats are in mourning today after losing a beloved coach. Junior High Football and Track coach dennis patrick passed away Sunday, after battling pneumonia for two weeks. Patrick, who was 49, had been with the Wildcats for three seasons. Whitehouse Athletic Director Randy McFarlin said Patrick was a great part of his staff.

"There's not a more important job in our program than junior high coach, and Coach Patrick did a great job in developing those kids and getting them excited about statring their athletic careers."

"He had a way with those junior high kids. He was very patient, and he did a great job in leading the kids and young coaches on staff."

Services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 at Grace Community Christian Church, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 at First Baptist Church in Whitehouse.
