Suspicious Fire Ruins Tyler Apartment

A woman was taken into custody after a fire destroyed an apartment on the 500 block of south Bois D'Arc Avenue.

The fire broke around 10 a.m. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found a woman inside a nearby apartment who refused to leave. The woman was later taken into custody and transported to East Texas Medical Center.

Authorities have not determined what caused the blaze, but say the circumstances seem suspicious.
