Wood County To Receive Criminal Justice Grants From Gov. Perry

Governor Rick Perry announced today that he's awarding more than $195,000 in grants to reduce crime, improve the Texas criminal and juvenile justice systems, and recover abducted children. The grants are awarded through the State Criminal Justice Planning Fund and are distributed by the Governor's Criminal Justice Division (CJD).

The Wood County Rural Prosecutor Project was awarded $50,000, and BeyondMissing Inc., which heads up the Texas Amber Alert Network, was awarded $145,000.
