Burglary Suspect Caught After Chase

At approximately 10:35 am on January 20, Longview Police responded to NATCO Oil Company, in reference to a burglary in progress.

Upon the officers' arrival, they observed a suspect walking nearby, carrying two silver tire rims.

When the suspect saw the officers, he dropped the rims and fled on foot.  He was eventually taken into custody after a short foot chase. The rims were discovered to have been taken from a nearby business.

Johnny Lee Hall, 43, of White Oak was taken to the Gregg County Jail and charged with Theft Over $50 and Under $500, Criminal Mischief Over $50 and Under $500, Burglary of a Building, and Evading Arrest/Detention.

Hall remains in jail under $10,500 bond.
