The Texas Department of Transportation has let us know that they have a traffic shift planned for SH 31 bridge job in Henderson County.
Construction crews are scheduled to shift traffic as early as Thursday, January 24, to one lane in each direction on SH 31 just east of FM 1667 between Malakoff and Trinidad while eastbound bridges and approaches are being replaced.
Traffic will be separated with a concrete traffic barrier for approximately 12 months. Motorists are encourage to seek alternate routes if possible.
Overside loads will be restricted to 14 feet during this time.
The project to replace or repair four bridges on SH 31 began last month and is scheduled to last through December 2009.
