An East Texas city council has voted to disband its police department, saying it just doesn't have enough money. In an emergency meeting, Saturday, Easton City Council members voted 3-2 to disband their two man police department. The council says the city is in debt and it needs to rebuild the city's finances. The police officers have two weeks to turn in their badges, uniforms and fuel cards. Gregg County Sheriffs Deputies will now patrol the Easton area.
