Pro Football Player Pays Mortgage at Longview Church

An NFL star hasn't forgotten his Longview roots. That's why he was in town Sunday to give back to his community.

Bobby Taylor may be a Philadelphia Eagle now, but he still a faithful member of Longview's Galilee Baptist Church. To show how much the former high school All-American and Notre Dame All-American cares, Taylor paid off the church's mortgage to a new activity center.

With all Taylor's success, those who know him say he remains a quiet humble man who has never forgotten the importance of education.

In a moving ceremony, the mortgage to the center was burned, and to Taylor surprise, the people of Galilee Baptist named the new building after him.

Taylor's family wasn't surprised that Bobby would do something like this. Taylor is also providing two scholarships to Longview's High School.
