Van Couple Blessed with Devoted Neighbors

Some East Texas volunteers spent the day repairing a 65-year old home for a neighbor stricken with cancer.

James Rogers has faced bone cancer, congestive heart failure and a broken hip in just the last year. Because of his ailing health, Rogers, a truck driver, has been unable to work and ended up having his trailer home repossessed last year.

All the couple was left with was a decaying home that they had not lived in for over a year.

That's when neighbors, generous donors and volunteers stepped in.

With the help of volunteer laborers, generous donations from businesses and five churches, the Rogers will move into their home next weekend.  It took three months for them to complete the Rogers' house.
