Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue" Comes To Tyler

He was one of the most influential musicians of his time, and because his life was cut short, there's still a lot of mystery behind the life of Buddy Holly. It was 50 years ago that Holly released the hit song "Peggy Sue." But now, Peggy Sue Gerron, for whom the song was written after, is releasing a controversial book titled, "Whatever Happened To Peggy Sue?"

"The book is factual and it's been a labor of love for me to do it, there's been parts of the book that I cried and parts of the book that are really funny, and I just think it's a really good tribute to all of the musicians and especially to Buddy Holly and I think he deserves it," Peggy Sue Gerron says.

Peggy Sue has two book signings this weekend: Saturday at Hastings on South Broadway in Tyler from 1-4 PM. And then at the Down Under Pub on Grande Boulevard Saturday night from 8:30 until midnight.
