Former Kilgore Ranger Kevin Everett A Block Courage Award Recipient

Former Kilgore Ranger and Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett proved the medical world wrong after he was told he would never walk again.

Kevin is not only walking these days but was able to visit his Buffalo Bills teammates before their final game of the season.

Kevin's strength in the face of extreme difficulty has made him one of the recipients of the 2007 Ed Block Courage Award.

The tight end was carted off the field during the Bills first game of the season, temporarily paralyzed. The spinal cord injury happened while Everett made a tackle.

The Bills trainers and medical staff were able to work quickly, helping to save Everett's life.

The Ed Block Courage Award will be presented in March.

Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff is also a recipient of the award.
