There is new help for the hearing impaired thanks to a new piece of technology being used at a Longview hospital. A system called "Deaf-Talk", a video interpreting service, is being used at Good Shepherd Medical Center to assist doctors in treating hearing impaired patients. A television monitor allows a visual between interpreter and patient, and communication with physicians. The system allows access twenty four hours a day, seven days a week with little waiting. Good Shepherd is only the forty second hospital in the nation to have this system.
